"You've reached Tech. Currently I'm unable to respond, but if you leave a message, I shall get back to you as soon as I am able to, barring any unforeseeable circumstances, of course."
She'd been practicing what dad said she ought to do sometimes when it was safe to or when she was older and borrowing the car, which was to get lost on purpose. That way, she'd get used to being lost and it wouldn't be scary anymore, or... something.
It was pretty fun just riding the trains that were really high up and walking around a new place at least, and she did indeed end up thoroughly lost. (And no looking at her tablet, that was cheating! If she found a wall map that was legal, though.)
Mo finally stopped outside one of a whole bunch of identical rooms and immediately just sat down right on the floor. She'd tried just walking this time, but these hallways were really super long...
She groaned super dramatically and loud and then flopped backwards. "Long hallways are banned from play now," she groaned even louder, lifting her arms over her head to do the referee X, then let them flop down, too. "Reschedule the match, wrestler down! Call the fireman and nanna and get cookies!"
She lifted a leg and let it fall. Kick. "In my memorial match to say how cool I was, I want Becky Lynch and Asuka to do a really cool fight."
There was a swish as the large doors just across from her slid open. This wing was designated for the more taller residents of the ship, but the figure who stepped out from the doorway wasn't made of metal at all.
"Oh."
The huge avian looked down at the small child on the floor, reaching up to tap the side of his head to deactivate the visor before his eyes. Rather than his armor, he was currently dressed in more casual clothes, a slate-blue utility vest over a dark shirt and pants.
"Are you all right?" he asked. At a glance it didn't seem like the child was injured in any obvious way.
Mo blinked up at the really really tall bird person who entirely filled her field of vision, startled. "Hi!" More blinking, and then a smile and lifting a hand to wave before flipping it back down. "I'm okay, don't worry. I just felt like flopping and loudly saying the hallway being super duper extra long is against the wrestling federation rules. So I was, um..."
She furrowed her brow, trying to remember how her dad had phrased throwing a tantrum, once. It was an old fashioned way from his books. "Oh! Having a fit of peek!" She nodded, satisfied, then remembered that she was full of woe and lifted a foot and let it drop again. Kick.
"It's really long and really boring I didn't feel like doing it anymore, so I was being drama royalty. Oh, and I'm Mo! And drama royalty still."
His brown eyes blinked as he turned over those explanations, neither really clearing anything up very well.
"I see," Tech replied, even though he didn't.
"I do know how long these halls can be for humans, although I wouldn't recommend collapsing in the middle of it. Particularly down this corridor," he noted, nodding down the hall. "As you can see, it would be where the much larger residents are typically housed, and I can't say that everyone watches where they're going. It's also usually better for smaller crewmembers to stay closer to the walls."
Action - a baby outside tech's room lol
