I believe the technical term is "molt," but yes- although not extensively.

Apologies.

I wish to braid feather bracelets from them for those on the ship. According to the cultures of my home, such bracelets are a sign of high honour.

I believe that it is something the R2 has earned.

However, the molted feathers must be given willingly.

I don't know that I have that many molted feathers to spare, but I suppose I have no real need for them. You are welcome to them if you wish.
